In the News Medical Intuition Márta O'Reilly What
would your body tell you if it had the chance? What is it trying to tell you
right now? These are questions that the discipline of Medical Intuition
(M.I.) would answer. It is possible to learn a great deal from our energy
field. There is no magic to this process. No diagnostic tests are used. The
Intuitive just asks the body. Quantum physics has explanations for this New
Field/ Old Art. There have been Intuitives throughout the ages with whom people
consulted to uncover the secrets of the past, present and future. M.I. is simply
another instance of accessing information from the energy field of another
being. Medical
Intuition can give a fairly comprehensive insight into what is going on in your
body at the present time, the degree of balance or imbalance. It can pinpoint
some illnesses, even in early stages before they reach a point at which
diagnostic instruments used by the medical profession are able to detect them. But
the real bonus of an Intuitive scan is the insight into the underlying
situations or the emotional underpinnings of a physical condition. Conventional
medicine treats symptoms. If we could know the causes of those symptoms, we
could act to resolve the cause rather than masking things by treating the
symptoms. As an example, unresolved anger not only figuratively but also
literally may “eat away” at us, eventually manifesting as cancer. I
do not mean to say that all cancer is unresolved anger. I have, however, always
been fascinated by the way in which language precedes or defines our physical
condition. Take the following terms we hear used often. “Uptight” (Could
that eventually mean “constipated”?) “Something eating away at her”
(Cancer?) Then there is “heart-sick”, “antsy”, “hard-hearted”,
“thick-headed”, bad-mouthing” or “sourpuss”. Have you ever experienced
a situation that was stifling? You find it hard to breathe because if you speak
your truth someone will “jump down your throat”. This discussion on language
is merely a sidetrack but I believe it illustrates an important aspect of the
wisdom we possess, even at a subconscious level. For language to express so
unequivocally the conditions of our psyche even prior to our body manifesting a
disease is worth the attention. Listen to what you are saying sometime and
“take it to heart”. Medical
Intuition, as a discipline offers insight. It is not a healing modality. It is
not intended to replace diagnosis by a health care practitioner. A Medical
Intuitive scan simply provides a “supplementary insight” from direct
communication with the body at an intuitive level. It is very helpful for a
Medical Intuitive to have a basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and
pharmacology. Lori Wilson’s school of Medical Intuition, where I received my
training, provides practice in all of these. How do I recognize the energetic
manifestation of Lupus, Schizophrenia or Bronchitis? What are the energetic
signals of the common prescription drugs, or street drugs? How do I explain
lesions in the aura? How do I pick up the presence or absence of any of the
organs or systems within the body? The curious nature of human beings is often what brings them to any Intuitive for answers. Often, however, the curiosity is regarding what they perceive as an unusual ability in another human being. If you approach an intuitive scan as a test to see how “good” the person is at figuring out what ails you, you are shortchanging yourself. Chances are, you will get an interesting overall picture. However, if you have a specific health concern and are truly seeking further information, confirmation or insight into the origin of the condition, you are likely to receive more comprehensive help if you provide any information you already have to your Medical Intuitive. Be an informed consumer. Medical Intuition is not a psychic reading or a mystical gift. It is not the role of a Medical Intuitive to offer to fix you. They are simply there to facilitate an information exchange between your body and yourself. The above article was published in the May-August edition of Eagle Eye 1

Reiki – Gentle Touch
We are
all bundles of energy. These energies get disturbed by events in our lives. It
is logical then that energy healing, such as Reiki (pronounced Ray- Key) can be
considered a first avenue for healing. Reiki is a hands-on therapy wherein the
practitioner gently places hands, usually on major chakra points of a
fully-clothed client who is resting in a comfortable position. Most
people go for Reiki when they experience physical discomfort and are looking for
healing. However, long before these manifest there may be underlying emotional
or psychological causes to these ailments. Much emotional release may take place
on the treatment table. This is surprising to many clients. Our western society
is notorious for discouraging expression of the so-called “negative
emotions”. It is not until anger, sadness, victimization or discouragement
manifest as indigestion, depression, fibromyalgia or cancer that we give
credence to the way we feel. It’s as if our body wakes us up to what has been
a problem for some time. As an
example, I may go to Reiki because of insomnia. I have been unhappy lately and I
figure if only I could get a good night’s sleep, I’ll be OK. Instead of
falling asleep on the Reiki table, I start to cry. Wail, really. Where is this
coming from? I wonder. Then I begin a cycle of coughing and spitting. My body
heaves with old insults or injuries I have swallowed over years of abuse. I can
no longer lie to myself. I get up from the table lighter and clearer in my
thoughts. My healing work has begun. I grow stronger in myself and my symptoms
improve with each treatment. Many
Reiki treatments simply provide the client with the natural relaxation for which
their body is thirsting. Some fall asleep and after their hour of treatment feel
as if they have had a full night’s rest. Others experience a light show behind
closed eyelids. Colours undulate and weave a magic of healing and balancing.
Some clients come for that “Spa in an Hour” of deep relaxation. Others come
with a resolve to make major strides along their healing journey. Reiki may be received anywhere, in any posture, seated, standing, prone or even from a distance. Therapists use various hand positions to treat clients. However, the essence of Reiki is the transfer of the Universal Life Energy, not from therapist to client but from the all-encompassing Universe with the therapist as conduit. By whatever means this energy is transferred at the very least it provides relaxation to the recipient, at most it is a life altering empowering healing tool. The above article was published in
